And there he was, like a drawing; he was there but as thin as paper and gone like that.
Everyone was a drawing, some aged, some shaded, but he was so intricately detailed, as if every little bump in time on his paste skin was a memory being told; and I paused, hoping in time we’d be drawn together in hopes that all our meaningless details would become whole.
