It’s always been fascinating to me how people accept complimentary words. There are those who are pretentiously quiet; either because they believe the compliment to be true or because they are simply shy. There are those who say thank you, and accept the compliment; though whether or not the words settled are a question for many. Then there are those who will thank you, but throw the words in reverse, for they cannot believe the kind words spoken to them because words have been broken in the past.
The more you listen, you can hear people’s thoughts; but that doesn’t always mean words will come out. People always have trouble with what’s on their mind in terms of speaking it, so subtle features of how body language works will always give way to hidden meaning.
People are interesting creatures.
